Word of the day: Smokin’!!
Had a great breakfast at St Pats Primary in Narrabri. Went over a huge ditch about 40km out of Narrabri … Mandy was in the back seat… Head touched the roof of the car. Dirt, dirt & more dirt. Sonya handles the car extremely well on the dirt.
Stopped at the 101 km mark for the bush Olympics – that grappa was revolting near the Pervy blowup thing. Hacking sacking and gstring throwing. Had to do 2 sets of pushups after Mandy said “mine”.
Saw a band of emus at the 160 km mark. Doo Doo, Doo Doo!! Desperate to see a cassowary!! Just saw 2 dead cows with rigamortis on either side of the road at the 173 km mark. And well into the dirt, a wild pig dead in the middle of the road and a horse that was skittish and galloping very close to the bash cars!
Beautiful lunch at Mungindi with the school kids at Mungindi Central School. Its a rural town of some 650 people. Half the town in NSW and half the town in QLD. They sang us a couple of songs then JPY and John Williamson belted out their hits. Great stuff!!
Very dusty….the Newbee drove 200kms in dust and tar….3 very dusty bees!!! Dinner at Goondiwindi tonight.
Off to the local for a few quiet ones…. Until then!
The Bashful Bees…..buzzzzzzzzz
